Dorset Council Virtual Committee Meetings to Continue

Dorset Council's Chief Executive has exercised his delegated powers to continue with virtual informal committee meetings until such time as a webcasting solution is installed and tested providing the option to non-committee members, officers and members of the public to engage in the democratic decision making processes remotely. This decision has been taken in order to protect elected members, staff and the public.

The only exception to this will be meetings where officers are unable to take decisions under delegated powers, such as school transport appeals, licensing sub-committees and Code of Conduct Hearings. These meetings will be held in the Council Chamber at County Hall where attendees will sit socially distant and safety measures taken in accordance with the current.
